Blog 4--MindTools

The title of the article was Time Management "To Do List".  The article was about making a “To Do List” and putting the most important tasks that you have to do for the day in order.  This article was very helpful to me.  I am currently attending college and each instructor gives us assignments each day to do.  After reading this article it helped me to start each morning writing down from A-E what most important tasks to do first.  By looking at the list throughout the day, I can manage my time more efficiently.  After I get the A,B, and C tasks crossed out, I can relax more and finish the rest by the end of the day.
This article will help improve my work environment by writing the most important tasks down each morning and coasting the rest of the day once I’ve completed the first 3 tasks.

Laptop Buying Guide

I am a teacher and I have a son who loves to get on my computer. I need a computer that is very sturdy and dependable. I will be looking for a home based model that is a 14" display.  I want it to have 2-4 GB RAM, 250 or larger HDD. I also want it to have a DVD burner on it.  I want at least a Dual Core CPU and an internal optical drive.  I am going to be looking for a mainstream or midsize laptop computer.  Because I want it to have a lot of portability and reliability.
I am going to purchase a Toshiba-Portege Laptop/IntelCore i5 Processor. It has a 13.3Display screen and 4GB RAM. It also has a 640GB Hard Drive. I was going to get the Acer which had a Celeron processor but a larger display.  I sacrificed the larger display for a better processor even though the Toshiba costs more it has a better battery life of up to 9 hours.  The laptop is going to cost $729.99 but it will be well worth the money in the long run.

Blog 2---Daily News

DAILY NEWS—Dark skin needs protection from sun, too.
My article was about black people needing protection from the sun like whites do.  Most blacks believe that only whites need to put lotions and sunscreens on their skin to protect them from the sun.  But that is definitely not true.  Blacks will find this article very helpful and informative.  The main reason is because this article tells the reader that if you have a mole on your hand or foot that is an unfamiliar color or painful, you need to consult your physician immediately.  Most blacks don’t realize they can get skin cancer.  There are 3 type of skin cancer and melanoma is the most common for blacks and whites.
I liked this article because it made me realize that I need to start buying sunscreens to protect my family from the sun and cancer.
